When is Ayrwaves 2008?
Ayrwaves 2008 will run from Saturday 26th July to Saturday 2nd August 2008.
Where is Ayrwaves 2008
The camp will take place in Eglington Country Park, Kilwinning, Ayrshire, Scotland.

Who is eligble?
Ayrwaves 2008 is open to girls of guide age (10-15 years as of 30th June 2008) from the UK and around the world. All participants must be members of their National Guide or Scout Association. Participants must having a minmum of 2 nights Guide camping experience.
Each International group must accompanied by an adult leader.
What about Senior Section?
There will be a subcamp for the Senior Section, open to those aged 14-25 (as of 30th June 2008) who are members of their National Guide or Scout Association. The Senior Section subcamp will be providing service at the camp and as such will pay a reduced rate. Those in the Senior Section subcamp will have a day trip off site and will be able to take part in some activities.
There is a very limited number of senior section places, so please contact the Camp Manager directly on ecountycomm@aol.com for further details.
What about Leaders?
There will be a limited number of places available for leaders who wish to joing the camp as part of the service team, that is, to come without a group of girls. If you're interested, please contact the Camp Manger directly on ecountycomm@aol.com, giving an indication of your experience and how you'd like to help.
How will the campsite be organised?
The camp will be under canvas and consist of an anticipated 11 subcamps. Each subcamp will be supervised by a sub-camp lead and other staff and consist of around 50 girls.
How much will it cost? And what's included?
The cost of the camp will be £150 (150GBP) for international and UK participants.
This includes food, tentage/canvas, activities (including an as yet to be arranged day trip off site), camp t-shirt, camp badge & neckie. All you need to bring is your own personal gear. You do not need to bring your tents or own cooking equipment.
What about hospitality?
There is hospitality available, if required, after camp, but this must be arranged before your arrival. We can accommodate groups in local halls.
What about Insurance?
Each group is responsible for arranging it’s own personal accident and equipment damage and/or loss insurance cover.
International visitors must also arrange medical cover for each member of their party.
When is the balance due?
The balance of your camp fee is due by 30th April 2008
